WILL BROOME DOODLES AT OUR MANCHESTER POP-UP
QUAYSIDE MEDIA CITY | SATURDAY 3RD & 4TH JUNE | 10AM - 6PM
Will Broome describes himself as a cross between Zippy from Rainbow and the Night of the Living Dead, which seems about right.
Will graduated from Central Saint Martins and went on to work for some of the coolest brands on the planet, creating extraordinary illustrations for folk like Vans and Gucci. For 10 years he drew the much-loved Miss Marc character for Marc Jacobs. But undoubtedly, his crowning achievement to date has been drawing the windows for Community Clothing’s pop-up shops.
Mr Broome will once again be coming to one of our pop-ups, but this time to do stuff you can take home with you. He’ll be with us at the We Invented The Weekend festival in Manchester on Saturday 3rd June. From noon ‘til 4pm, he’ll be drawing on T-shirts, postcards and anything else you care to bring that he can doodle on. Please feel free to bring along an old T-shirt of any description for Will to “upgrade”. Of course, you can buy one from us on the day if you’d rather, and we’ll have postcards too. A drawing will cost you £5 all of which we’ll donate to Nightsafe, a local charity that works with young people who are homeless or are at risk of homelessness.
