My mother doesn’t believe in central heating. She likes to keep the
house at a balmy 15 degrees. So if you want to survive the Christmas holidays
in the icy North a good blanket is essential. Our fantastic thick pure wool blankets are super soft and fantastically warm, and they’re big. Big enough to tuck right up under my chin, and wrap over my feet. And I’m 6’3”. So big in fact that poor old James from the CC teamcould barely hold them off the ground with his arms outstretched when we were photographing them. They’re big enough to make a great bedspread too.

Our blankets are spun, woven and stitched in Pudsey in Leeds by AW Hainsworth, one of the oldest and best woollen mills in the world, maker of some of the worlds most famous blankets, from the amazing holey cellular ones used by the NHS, to a very famous Canadian one that we can’t talk about. In the pictures you can see our blankets being spun and woven in the mill, and some of the brilliant skilled staff who make them.  

They’re superbly made, they’re hefty, made from lots of great quality pure wool, but because of our unique business model they’re only £125, less than half what you’d pay for the same size and quality of blanket anywhere else. You might save yourself that much in heating bills in a single festive season.
