We source our denim from arguably the worlds most sustainable premium denim mill. They produce denim for many of the worlds leading denim brands, and have world leading environmental and sustainability credentials, including OEKO-TEx, GOTS and GRS certification, with 100% of their cotton from traceable sources. They are also a leader in the use of recycled cotton in their denim and have their own textile recycling facility on site.
Every pair of Community Clothing jeans is made right here in in Blackburn in what we think is the UK’s best jeans factory. The same dedicated team make jeans for several other of the UK’s best known premium brands.
Their specialists skills have been honed over 160 years of continuous operation. Every pair of jeans is hand cut, machined by hand, and individually pressed by hand. All of our jeans have a chain stitched hem and are riveted by hand.
Where our jeans have a rinse or a wash this is done in a small specialist washhouse which operates under the most stringent EU environmental standards and is located just 6 miles from where the jeans are sold.
