Make Something Good. Repeat

Our product philosophy is simple; design products with great care, and if people like them, then repeat. Few products capture the essence of this philosophy better than the women’s work trousers.

Launched originally back in 2017, we offered them in just one fabric, an 8oz lightweight cotton denim. Feedback was great, sales were great, and returns percentages were tiny (single figures, pretty much unheard of for trousers sold online). So we added a handful of other great colours, in simple durable cotton twills we know and trust, and those sold super well too. Next we did a jeans version and they in turn became our best selling jean, so then we increased the size range, up to a size 26, and added a second leg length, and sales carried on climbing.

So where do we go with this barnstorming trouser after 8 years of success? Well we thought we’d offer something for those chillier days. We’re delighted to announce we will now be offering the work trousers in two colours of corduroy too. As always we’re using a tried and tested cord from the masters of fustians messrs Brisbane Moss of Todmorden, a cord we’ve been using for years on other products that we know you’ll love wearing, and we know will wear super well.

Theres no great secret to the success of the work trousers and jeans, they just look great, and they’re a really great fit. As Jenny in our team says “my work jeans are the thing I get asked about most at pop ups and events”. Beth who runs our ecomm swears by them “I have both the lightweight work trousers in indigo and the work jeans in black and I can vouch for their great fit. They’re usually my starting point when putting an easy outfit together.”

We know you’ll enjoy them too.

Today (20/11/25) is Social Enterprise Day! Patrick explains what a Social Enterprise is and why it's so important for our economy.

Our raincoats begin in Rochdale, at British Millerain. A sixth generation, family-run mill that’s been leading the way in waterproof cotton since 1880. Their fabric combines over a century of Lancashire craftsmanship with modern innovation, and we’re proud to make it part of our raincoats with it.
