At Community Clothing we try our best to let nothing go to waste. The scraps from our denim production are gathered up and used to make note books and cotton waste is used to stuff mattresses. Furthermore, by using up the end of fabric rolls and deadstock materials from our factory in Blackburn, we can create high quality clothing and accessories.

My Mum doesn’t really believe in central heating so a good blanket that’s big enough to tuck right up under my chin, and wrap over my feet, is essential. Our fantastic thick pure wool blankets are super soft and fantastically warm, and they’re big. And what’s more they’re made in Pudsey in Leeds by HW Hainsworth, one of the oldest and best woollen mills in the world.

In winter for me its always knitted accessories that are a personal favourite, with the colder months on the way in the New Year I love gifting hats and gloves to keep warm in those icy months of January and February, Charcoal beanie and matching gloves get my vote as they go with almost everything in my wardrobe.

The best garment I've worn in years are our women's straight leg high rise jeans. They're such a comfortable, stylish staple and go with everything. My sister and best friend have both said how much they love them, so guess what they're getting for Christmas?!

In my opinion these are the best jumpers you can buy. I’ve been working with the mill that makes these jumpers since I started on Savile Row nearly 20 years ago. I’ve a jumper they knitted that I must have worn at least a thousand times. Their jumpers never lose their shape and they NEVER pill. You can pay five times this price for a jumper and you wont find better. I promise you. What makes this jumper even more special is that it is very similar to one that my old dad used to wear.

In the run up to each Christmas I try to come up with ingenious ways to avoid having to cook the Christmas dinner. So this year I shall be buying everyone I know a Community Clothing apron so they get the hint. The aprons are durable, wash well and the majority of the colours are made from dead stock fabric which otherwise may not have been used. In fact they are so special they are even used by the team at the Royal Household at Highgrove.

Part of my role at Community Clothing is to plan and manage our photoshoots, the majority of which occur in a gorgeous, old and VERY chilly building so my go to garment on those days is a snuggly hooded sweatshirt. This year I will be asking for a new colour for my collection.
