Big Heart
As many of you know the business model at Community Clothing is not like other brands, and one of the big ways we’re different is that we don’t do seasonal collections and we don’t do sales. So when, from time to time, we discontinue a product, once sizes start to run out, we move those pieces that are left to a section of the shop called Odds & Ends. But what happens to the odds and ends of the Odds & Ends? The very last pair in the very last size? It doesn’t make economic sense for us to pay to keep one or two of something in a box on a shelf in our distribution centre - we pay the same rent for empty boxes as full ones - so when the British Heart Foundation approached us about donations it got the cogs whirring. Donating those last few pieces would mean doing some good for a brilliant local charity, putting some quality clothing into a second-hand market that’s flooded with fast fashion cast-offs, and saving ourselves a few quid into the bargain. A win, win, win.

We’re delighted to announce that from tomorrow, while they last, the British Heart Foundation shops in Piccadilly in central Manchester and Chorlton in south Manchester (easy to get to on the Bee network bus) will have a range of our clothes for men and women– sweatshirts, hoodies, jeans, coats, dresses, v neck wool jumpers, all sorts of great stuff. They might be earlier models, or more unusual colours, but every one is a high-quality British-crafted beauty.

And if you can’t get to Manchester, you can find our Odds & Ends here, and at the same time you could donate a few pennies to the BHF here.
